Description

Viktoria is a rope play structure shaped as a spacecraft, 7.1 by 6.3 m and 5.7 m high, built on hot dip galvanised steel tubes of 168.3 mm diameter. The hull outline is drawn by the rope frame itself, reinforced by a rubber mat carrying decorative HPL plates, so the theme is part of the climbing structure rather than an applied decoration.

Inside, three horizontal levels and two rope walls of different sizes organise the circulation, and six peripheral nets of varying format provide access at several heights. That mix suits a mixed age group: the lower nets are reached by younger climbers while the upper levels require more confidence. Net tension is set and reset with hot dip galvanised turnbuckles.

The ropes are braided and bonded polyamide of 18 mm diameter reinforced with galvanised steel strands. Connectors are plastic and aluminium, while the rope to post fixings use stainless steel and cast steel coated in chloroprene rubber, a detail that protects the rope where movement concentrates.

Allow 11.3 by 10.2 m of clear area, surfaced with an impact attenuating material rated for a 2.85 m fall height in accordance with EN 1176-1:2017 and EN 1177. Foundations are reinforced concrete at 1.0 m depth, and installation requires access for heavy plant, which is the point to verify first on an enclosed courtyard or a school ground with restricted gates.
