Description
The TRAINER Steel4Fit rider is a pylon mounted outdoor pendulum station of 134 x 63 x 202 cm weighing 40 kg, certified to EN 16630:2015. Seated, the user pulls with the arms and pushes with the legs in a swinging motion resembling riding, so the back, chest, arms and legs work in one continuous rhythm. That rhythm is the point: unlike a press or a pull, the movement is sustained rather than repeated, which makes it a cardio respiratory station as much as a strength one.

A whole body station that raises heart rate
Most outdoor strength stations produce short sets and long rests. The rider does not: because arms and legs work together against body weight in a continuous swing, heart rate rises within thirty seconds and stays up. For a municipal circuit that has plenty of strength stations and no cardio, this is the cheapest way to add an aerobic component without a cross trainer or an elliptical.
- Arms, back, chest and legs in one coordinated movement
- Improves cardio respiratory capacity in sustained use
- Easy difficulty, accessible to all park users
- Seated HDPE position, comfortable and stable
- Steel4Fit reinforced construction for intensive public use
Mounting, safety area and inspection
The station fixes onto a support pylon which adds around 50 kg and is quoted separately with its foundation. Reserve the 415 x 363 cm safety area and surface it against the free height of fall on the installation drawing, keeping the swing envelope clear on the front and rear of the unit rather than only around the seat.
The Steel4Fit build uses seamless S355 for the curves, S235 for straight members, hot dip galvanising and two powder coats. Because the movement is a pendulum, the main pivot bearing accumulates cycles faster than on any static station in the range; include it explicitly in the routine operational inspection and keep a replacement in the spare parts stock for a heavily used site.
Frequently asked questions
Is it a strength or a cardio station?
Both, depending on how it is used. Short vigorous bouts load the arms, back and legs; sustained rhythmic use raises heart rate and trains cardio respiratory endurance. The manufacturer rates the difficulty easy in either case.
Is the pylon included in the price?
No. The pylon adds around 50 kg and is quoted separately together with its foundation, delivery and installation.
Can children use it?
Users should be at least 140 cm tall and under 150 kg. Where a park serves younger children as well, a dedicated junior range should be specified rather than relying on adult equipment.
