Description
The TRAINER single cross country skier is the free standing version of the outdoor ski station: 94 x 54 x 139 cm, about 48 kg, safety zone 395 x 357 cm. EN 16630:2015-06, certified by TUV Rheinland. Price: 1,486.80 EUR excluding VAT.
Free standing, no shared post
The pylon mounted version of this movement needs a support post, which makes sense when a dozen stations are grouped in one area and can share the foundations. It makes much less sense when three or four stations are spread along a walking route, or when a station has to be added to an area that is already built.
The single skier is designed for exactly that case. It stands on its own foundation, carries its own structure, and can be sited independently of everything else. It is also the least expensive station in this family, at 1,486.80 EUR excluding VAT.
Whole body training in one movement
The alternating ski action gives a general whole body workout: it strengthens the leg, arm and trunk muscles, improves motor coordination and has a beneficial effect on the cardio respiratory system. Difficulty is rated easy, users must be over 140 cm tall, and the maximum user weight is 150 kg.
Because the arms and legs move in opposition, the station also trains the co-ordination pattern that underlies ordinary walking, which is why it works as well for older users as for anyone else.

Frequently asked questions
Free standing or pylon mounted, which should be specified?
Free standing when the stations are scattered along a path, when the area is being extended, or when only a few units are involved. Pylon mounted when a dozen apparatus sit together and the shared posts genuinely reduce the number of foundations. We size both options in the layout study.
Is a foundation still required?
Yes. Free standing means it needs no shared post, not that it stands loose. Each unit is anchored to a concrete foundation sized for its dynamic loading, and we supply the anchoring drawings with the order.
How does it compare with an outdoor bike?
A bike works the legs; the skier works legs, arms and trunk together, and it trains coordination as well as endurance. Where space allows only one cardio station, the skier covers more ground.
Tell us the route or the surface available and the number of stations you want and we will return a layout plan and a written quotation covering equipment, foundations, surfacing and installation in France.
