Description
SECHURA is sized for the rush. At 8.8 by 8.4 m and 4.9 m high, with several linked platforms and a varied set of climbing and gripping elements, it is built to absorb a full class at break time or a campsite full of children at five in the afternoon — the two moments that actually determine whether a play area is judged a success.
Capacity, and what it depends on
- Multiple entry points, so arrival is not funnelled through a single ladder or net where a queue forms.
- Several platforms at different levels, giving children somewhere to be that is not on a climbing route, which is what stops congestion becoming collisions.
- Varied climbing and gripping elements: strong climbers take the hard lines and clear the easy routes for younger children.
- Nearly square in plan, so users spread in every direction rather than along a single axis.
Materials and construction
Structural posts are stainless steel. The ropes are 18 mm polyamide with a braided galvanised steel core, resistant to cutting and to UV, joined with aluminium and stainless steel connectors. Decorative elements are impact and weather resistant HPL panel. Foundations are high-strength concrete at 0.7 m depth — deeper than the mid-size models in the range, reflecting the greater height and the sustained live loads a large group applies.
Siting and surfacing
The minimum impact area is 12.0 by 11.6 m, roughly 139 m2, surfaced for a free height of fall of 2.9 m. On a school site, check that the area does not encroach on ball-game space or circulation routes at break time: an impact area that people walk through is not a compliant impact area. The full range is shown under Diamond Collection play structures.

Frequently asked questions
How many children can use SECHURA at once?
The design capacity is issued with the technical file and depends on the age mix. As a planning rule, a structure of this footprint is specified for a full primary class using it together under supervision.
Does high use shorten the service life?
It shortens the life of the ropes and connectors, not of the posts and foundations. That is the intended behaviour: consumable parts are replaceable individually, and a busy site should budget for rope renewal rather than for structure replacement.
Can it be installed on a sloping school field?
The impact area must be level, so a sloping site needs a formed platform. That groundwork is significant on a 139 m2 area and should be surveyed and priced before the equipment is ordered.
