Description
The Lexco LS-522 is a plate-loaded prone leg curl with independently driven left and right levers. It measures 181 x 165 x 69.5 cm, weighs 156.5 kg and belongs to the Falcon series, with full ABS shrouds, memory foam padding and marine-grade upholstery. Professional price: 2,625 EUR excluding VAT.
Prone position, isolated hamstrings
Lying face down fixes the pelvis against the pad and removes the hip flexion that lets a seated user cheat the movement. The result is a curl that loads the hamstrings through the knee joint only, which is why the prone format remains the reference for hamstring work in physical preparation and in return-to-play protocols after knee or hamstring injury.
- Independently driven left and right levers, so each leg produces its own force
- Two push-button pivots adjustable to several positions to match limb length
- Constant resistance across the full range of movement
- Plate loading via integrated horns, no stack to maintain
- High-density urethane foam padding and ergonomic memory foam support
Independent levers and asymmetry
Because the two sides are mechanically separate, a difference in strength or range between legs is visible during the set rather than absorbed by the machine. Alternating single-leg work is possible without changing station, which is useful when one side is being rehabilitated while the other continues normal loading.
Construction
The frame is welded steel tube in a 50 x 105 mm section with a 3.0 mm wall. Pads are urethane foam sheet on a steel plate, and the Falcon series adds full ABS shrouds over the moving parts, memory foam inserts and marine-grade upholstery that tolerates perspiration and repeated cleaning. At 156.5 kg unloaded the machine is stable under heavy loading without floor anchoring.

Frequently asked questions
Why prone rather than seated leg curl?
The prone position holds the hip extended, so the hamstrings work only as knee flexors. A seated curl places the hip in flexion and changes the length-tension relationship. Facilities running rehabilitation or sprint-based preparation usually want both, but if only one is specified, the prone version is the one that isolates most cleanly.
How much floor space is required?
The machine occupies 181 x 165 cm and stands only 69.5 cm high, so it sits comfortably under mirrors and windows. Allow 70 cm of clear access on the loading side. At 156.5 kg plus plates, check the slab loading before installing on an upper floor.
Are plates included?
No. Plate-loaded machines are quoted without discs so the loading can be matched to the plates already on your floor. We can add olympic or standard plates to the same quotation.
The LS-522 is quoted at 2,625 EUR excluding VAT, before delivery and installation. For a complete leg zone or a maintenance contract, send us your floor plan and we will return a full proposal within 24 to 72 hours. The rest of the range is listed under Lexco plate-loaded machines.
