Converging arms for upper chest work

The push angle converges as the arms travel, so the hands finish closer together than they start. That reproduces the natural arc of an incline press with dumbbells while keeping the load on a fixed frame, and it increases the contraction at the top of the movement – which is where a barbell incline press gives the least.

The handle angle is adjustable, so users can rotate the grip to bias the load between the clavicular head of the pectorals and the anterior deltoid, rather than being locked into a single wrist position.

Why is the starting position adjustable?

Because shoulder mobility varies widely. A fixed start forces short users into an over-stretched position and long-limbed users into a shortened one. The ten-position bar lets each user set a safe stretch before the first repetition.

What maintenance does it require?

Very little. There is no cable, no pulley and no stack – the wear items are the bearings, the pads and the paint. That is the practical argument for plate-loaded equipment on a busy floor.
