Description

The Lexco LS-513 high row is a plate-loaded pulling station with a high handle path, built on a robust frame for demanding training. Professional price: 2,025 EUR excluding VAT.

Understanding the pull angle

Rowing movements are defined by the angle between the torso and the pulling path. A high row pulls down and back from above shoulder height, loading the latissimus dorsi together with the upper trapezius and posterior deltoid. A mid row pulls horizontally into the ribs, concentrating on the mid-back. Specifying both gives a back zone two genuinely different exercises; specifying one twice gives it one.

  • Plate-loaded high row, plates not included
  • High pulling path loading lats, upper trapezius and posterior deltoid
  • Robust frame construction for heavy training loads
  • Ergonomic geometry and finish suited to a visible gym floor

Programming the station

Typical use is 3 to 4 sets of 8 to 12 repetitions as the second pulling movement of a back session, after a heavier row or pulldown. Because it is plate-loaded, progression is incremental and the load is visible on the machine, which is useful for coaches tracking a member across a block. Members frequently work it one side at a time to address asymmetries.

Frequently asked questions

High row or mid row if only one can be installed?

Mid row, in most general-membership facilities: horizontal pulling addresses the postural deficit that most members arrive with. The high row is the second purchase, added when the back zone is being broadened.

How many plates should be provided per station?

A shared plate tree serving two or three plate-loaded stations is more efficient than dedicating plates to each machine. Size the set to the heaviest station in the group rather than to the average.

Can the machine be repositioned later?

Yes, though it requires lifting equipment and at least two people. Fix the layout before delivery where possible.

Servicing intervals

Plate-loaded machines have fewer wearing components than selectorised units, but they are not maintenance free. Plan a monthly visual inspection of the pivot points, bushings and fasteners, a quarterly torque check on the structural bolts, and an annual inspection of the upholstery and grips. Loading horns take the most abuse and should be checked for deformation each quarter. Keeping a short written log against each machine is what turns this from an intention into a routine, and it is the document a liability insurer will ask to see after any incident on the gym floor.

Professional price: 2,025 EUR excluding VAT. Plates, delivery and assembly quoted separately. Send us your back-zone plan and we will return a layout and price within 24 to 72 hours.
