Each leg loaded separately

The station loads each leg on its own Olympic sleeve. That is the whole argument for it. On a bilateral curl the stronger hamstring quietly takes more of the work, and a member can train for a year without the imbalance ever appearing in their numbers. Load each side independently and the difference shows up in the first set.

Hamstring asymmetry is one of the most consistently reported risk factors for hamstring strain, and it is also what limits progress on every posterior chain lift. A unilateral station is the simplest tool a gym can offer to address it, and it needs no coaching to work: the plates on each side tell the story.

At 120 kg this is the lightest station in the Gold Line lower body group, which makes it the easiest to deliver into a first floor room or a converted space with a narrow access route.

Frequently asked questions

Can both legs be trained at once?

The arms are independent, so the user can work one side at a time or both together. Working alternately is what reveals an imbalance; working together is fine once the two sides are matched.

How does it compare with a seated leg curl?

A seated curl works the hamstrings with the hip flexed, which changes the length tension relationship. Neither is better in the abstract; a floor with room for one should choose according to the rest of its leg equipment, and we can advise on that.

Are discs included?

No. The 1,425 EUR excluding VAT covers the machine. Olympic discs, collars and storage horns are quoted separately, so plate type and total tonnage can be matched to your membership.
