Description
The Etenon R5507 is a dedicated plate loaded abductor with a guided path, adjustable range and a heavy section steel frame. It is specified where a multi station attachment is no longer good enough, which in most clubs is the point at which the abduction queue becomes the longest queue in the building.
Multi station abduction attachments share the same faults: approximate settings, an imprecise seated position and a capped load. Users notice within a few sessions and stop bothering. A dedicated station fixes the position, adjusts the range to the individual and takes as much load as the plates on site allow, which is why it reads immediately as the serious machine in the area.
Side pads are high density foam under a synthetic leather covering chosen for resistance to perspiration, and a non slip lower footrest holds the user stable through the movement. The frame is heavy section steel with an oven cured epoxy finish, there is no electronics anywhere in the machine, and manufacture is European by Etenon.

Relieving pressure on the multi station
In most mixed clubs the multi station is the first bottleneck of the evening, and hip abduction is a large part of the reason. Moving that traffic to a dedicated machine frees the multi station for the exercises only it can do and gives coaches a concrete reason to bring a member across for a technique session on range and tempo.
Place the station where the loading flank stays clear of walkways and a disc tree is within a few steps. Before the order is confirmed we issue a 3D layout positioning the machine in your floor plan, next to the R5506 adductor or beside the leg press depending on how the area is organised, along with dimensions, clearances and delivery weight in the free siting study. We deliver to France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, quote export per project, and dispatch within five to ten working days from stock.
Frequently asked questions
Which muscles does abduction train?
Gluteus medius and minimus principally, with tensor fasciae latae assisting. These stabilise the pelvis in single leg stance, which is why the exercise appears in running and field sport programmes as well as general fitness.
What is the advantage over a selectorised abductor?
No stack, no cable and no ceiling on the load. Maintenance drops to cleaning and pivot checks, and heavier users are not limited by the machine.
Can the amplitude be reduced for a stiff user?
Yes. The range is set before the first repetition, so a member with limited hip mobility starts from a narrower position and still works through a full usable range.
