Description
The Etenon R5508 is a plate loaded hip thrust station with an anatomical hip pad and lumbar support, taking loads beyond 200 kg. It turns an exercise members currently improvise with a barbell and a folded towel into a station anyone can use correctly on the first attempt.
The hip thrust produces substantially more gluteal activation than a squat, which is why it appears in almost every strength programme written in the last decade. Performed with a free barbell it needs a bench, a pad, help getting under the bar and a tolerance for the setup being awkward in public. Most members abandon it. A dedicated station removes every one of those obstacles: the path is guided, the pad is shaped for the hips, and the user concentrates on the contraction rather than the arrangement.
The hip and lumbar pads are anatomically shaped high density foam under a synthetic leather covering. The footplate is wide and non slip, sized to suit users from about 1.55 m to 1.90 m. The frame is reinforced steel with an epoxy paint finish specified for humid rooms, and the footprint is contained enough to fit within an existing free weight zone. Manufacture is European, by Etenon.

A high rotation station in a glute area
Hip thrusts are performed in short sets with brief rests, so the station turns over quickly and takes real pressure off the free weight benches at peak hours. It also removes a coaching burden: with the bar position fixed by the machine, staff no longer need to supervise the setup for every member who wants to try the movement.
The natural placement is beside an existing plate loaded glute and leg area, with a disc tree within reach and the loading flank clear. Dimensions, clearances and the delivery weight are confirmed in the free siting study we prepare from your room drawing and issue with the quotation, together with a 3D layout of the position. We deliver to France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, quote export per project, and dispatch within five to ten working days from stock.
Frequently asked questions
Why use a machine rather than a barbell and bench?
Setup. The machine fixes the pad position, supports the back and removes the need to get under a loaded bar, which is what stops most members attempting the exercise at all.
Is it used in rehabilitation?
Gluteal strengthening is protocol in many return to play and postnatal programmes, and the guided path with low starting loads suits that use. Confirm the protocol with the practitioner responsible.
How much load does it take?
Beyond 200 kg in plates, so the station stays useful as members progress rather than capping out within a year.
