Description
DIA is the pyramid designed around how small children actually enter a net structure. Two separate access points serve the first level at 1.0 m, so a child does not have to wait for the one in front, and a second net level at 1.8 m gives the more confident somewhere to go. The whole unit sits on a 5.9 x 5.1 m base.
Two entries, less friction
- Central hot-dip galvanised and powder-coated steel mast, 139.7 mm diameter, 4.5 m high
- Six main bearing cables anchored into reinforced concrete bases
- Six net panels between the bearing cables
- Two horizontal net levels at 1.0 m and 1.8 m, with two entries at the 1.0 m level
The compact plan is the other half of the argument. A 63 square metre safety circle, 8.9 m across, is achievable on residential and school sites where a full 10 m circle simply is not available.
Finish and materials
The mast is hot-dip galvanised and then powder coated, so the colour can be matched to an existing scheme while the galvanising underneath carries the corrosion protection. Cables are braided polypropylene reinforced with galvanised steel rope, 16 mm diameter. Connectors are plastic and aluminium; mast fixings are stainless steel. Foundations are cast at 0.7 m depth.

Frequently asked questions
Can the mast be supplied in our corporate or scheme colours?
The mast is powder coated over the galvanising, so a colour can be agreed at order stage. Confirm your reference at the time of order, as the coating is applied before delivery.
Why does a second entry point matter?
Because congestion at a single entry is where most minor playground incidents start. Two access routes at the first level halve the pressure at the busiest moment of the day.
Is 5.9 x 5.1 m really enough for a 4.5 m pyramid?
Yes, provided the 8.9 m diameter safety circle is clear. The narrow base is what makes DIA viable on plots that will not take the 8.0 x 8.0 m units.
Send us the plot dimensions and your colour requirement and we will confirm the specification. Browse the rope climbing pyramids range or request a quote.
