Description
MIMAS gets 3.6 m of mast height onto a 4.2 x 4.2 m base and needs only a 3.3 m radius safety circle, the tightest of any pyramid we supply. When a site survey comes back with barely 7 m of clear ground in any direction, this is usually the only certified pyramid that will fit.
Made for constrained ground
- Central hot-dip galvanised steel mast, 139.7 mm diameter, 3.6 m high
- Six main lines anchored to the ground
- Six net panels between adjacent lines
- A horizontal rope platform at 1.0 m, keeping the fall height low despite the mast height
Reading the site survey
The constraint on most infill playgrounds is not the equipment footprint but the safety circle, which has to stay clear of kerbs, drainage gullies, lighting columns and mature tree trunks. A 3.3 m radius gives 34 square metres of impact area, roughly half what a 4 m pyramid demands. Foundations are cast at 1.0 m depth, so confirm service runs before setting out.
Materials
Hot-dip galvanised steel mast, 139.7 mm diameter. Rope in polypropylene reinforced with galvanised steel strands, 16 mm diameter. Plastic and aluminium connectors; stainless steel fixings at the mast.

Frequently asked questions
How can a 3.6 m pyramid have a smaller safety circle than a 2.4 m one?
The circle is set by the fall height and the geometry of the net, not by the mast. MIMAS holds its only platform at 1.0 m and has a narrower base than HATI, so its circle is 3.3 m radius against 3.7 m.
Why is the foundation depth 1.0 m on a small unit?
A tall mast on a narrow base transmits greater overturning moment to the central foundation, so the excavation is deeper than on wider pyramids of similar height. Allow for it in the groundworks package.
Does the height make it unsuitable for three-year-olds?
No. Only the mast is 3.6 m; the climbable net and the single platform keep the free height of fall at 1.0 m, which is why the approval starts at 3 years.
Send us the survey drawing with the obstructions marked and we will tell you whether MIMAS clears them. Browse the rope climbing pyramids range or request a quote.
