Description
BONI is the smallest full climbing structure in the marine range: 5.7 by 4.6 m, 3.9 m high, with climbing nets on several faces and a single raised platform. Its impact area of 8.5 by 7.5 m is around 64 m2, which is what makes it the realistic answer for the most common brief we receive — an existing playground that needs one more item, on the ground that is actually left.
The add-one-item project
- Small enough to fit the residual space in an established play area, and self-contained enough not to require the layout to be rethought.
- Nets on several faces, so children approach from whichever side the surrounding layout leaves open.
- A single raised platform: one clear objective, which is all a structure of this size needs.
- The lowest entry point in the range for a certified rope structure covering the full 3 to 14 age band.
Check these three things before ordering
First, that 8.5 by 7.5 m can be cleared of every obstruction, including benches, bins, kerbs and planting. Second, that the existing surfacing is certified for a free height of fall of at least 2.7 m — higher than many operators expect from a structure of this size, because the platform sits at 3.9 m. Third, that the impact area does not overlap another item in a way the standard does not allow. We check all three against your drawing before quoting.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the fall height 2.7 m on a small structure?
Because the platform is at 3.9 m and the nets do not interrupt every possible fall path from it. A small footprint does not mean low exposure, and the surfacing must be specified for 2.7 m regardless of the size of the item.
Can it be installed alongside equipment from another supplier?
Yes. The requirement is that impact areas are respected and that the site file records the new item, its certificate and its installation. Mixed-supplier playgrounds are normal and entirely compliant.
How long does installation take?
Foundations, concrete cure and assembly, followed by a post-installation inspection. On a prepared site it is a short programme; we confirm dates with the quotation.
Send us the dimensions of the space left in your play area and your surfacing certificate, and we will confirm whether BONI fits and return a costed proposal within 24 business hours.
