Description
CULLINAN is the flagship of the Diamond Collection, a family of rope structures named after the great cut stones. At 10.6 x 8.6 m and 3.3 m high it offers the widest climbing and social space in the collection while keeping the free height of fall to 2.4 m, which is what allows a structure of this presence to sit in an open-access park without an unusually deep surfacing build-up.
How the collection is built
- Reinforced stainless steel structural posts
- An extensive network of nets and cordage across several levels
- Multiple play platforms connected by rope bridges
- Varied climbing and traverse zones rather than a single route to the top
Where it earns its place
District parks, large school grounds and holiday villages all face the same problem: one structure has to hold the attention of a wide age band for a long visit. CULLINAN answers it with looping routes and several destinations, so children keep circulating instead of reaching the top and losing interest. The 3.3 m overall height also keeps sightlines open for supervising adults, which is a recurring requirement in open park settings.
Materials
Reinforced stainless steel posts; 18 mm polyamide rope with a braided galvanised steel core, cut resistant and UV stabilised; aluminium and stainless steel connectors; HPL decorative panels; high-strength concrete foundations at 0.6 m depth.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the foundation depth only 0.6 m on a structure this size?
The Diamond Collection distributes load across a larger number of posts rather than concentrating it on a central mast, so individual foundations are shallower than a mast-based pyramid of similar height requires. That reduces excavation, spoil removal and concrete volume.
Can supervising adults see across the structure?
At 3.3 m high with open rope faces, sightlines through and over the unit remain good, which is a practical advantage over enclosed tower equipment in parks without dedicated staff.
What does the Diamond Collection have in common?
All the units share stainless steel posts, 18 mm steel-cored polyamide rope, HPL detailing and a 0.6 m foundation depth. They differ in footprint, fall height and age band, from the 3.6 x 1.9 m ORLOV up to CULLINAN.
