Description
MOUNTY stacks its platforms across several levels and links them with rope nets, turning a 9.9 x 6.1 m rectangle into a genuine adventure route. Children read it as a sequence: reach the first platform, cross to the second, climb again. That progression develops balance and self-confidence far more effectively than a single climbing face does.
Motor development through progression
- Stacked platforms at different levels, each one a visible next step
- Climbing nets and cordage connecting the levels on several faces
- Varied gripping and climbing elements that reward technique over strength
- A 2.3 m free height of fall, moderate for a structure of this play value
Fitting a rectangle
The 9.9 x 6.1 m plan is a useful shape. It suits the leftover rectangle between a path and a boundary, the end of a school playground, or a strip of a campsite that is too narrow for a square unit. The reserved zone is 12.6 x 9.4 m, a realistic ask on sites where a square structure of equivalent play value would need a zone over 12 m in both directions.
Materials
Stainless steel posts; 18 mm polyamide rope with a braided galvanised steel core, cut resistant and UV stabilised; aluminium and stainless steel connectors; HPL decorative panels; high-strength concrete foundations at 0.6 m depth.

Frequently asked questions
What skills does a multi-level rope structure develop?
Balance, grip strength, spatial judgement and risk assessment. A yielding rope surface demands constant micro-adjustment, which is the physical quality that fixed steel or timber equipment does not train.
Can MOUNTY be positioned against a fence?
Only outside the 12.6 x 9.4 m safety area. The zone must stay clear of rigid obstacles on every face, so a boundary fence has to sit beyond it rather than at the edge of the equipment.
Is it suitable for children of three?
The approval runs from 3 years and the lower platforms are within reach of that age group. Where the site is dominated by under-fives, the 1.0 m fall height units in the same collection, such as EXCELSIOR or SANCHO, are the closer match.
