Description
The Bodytone Solid Rock SR04E is a plate-loaded converging incline chest press built for the upper portion of the pectorals. It takes a training load of up to 240 kg, weighs 151 kg and occupies 191 x 107 cm, with a frame in 110 x 52 mm steel tube of 3 mm wall thickness welded to EN 10219 in S275J0H quality. Professional price: 2,595 EUR excluding VAT.
Why an incline station earns its floor space
A flat chest press loads the sternal head of the pectoralis major. The clavicular head, the upper chest, is only fully recruited when the pressing angle rises. On a commercial floor that is the single most common gap in the chest zone, and it is the reason an incline station is normally specified alongside a flat press rather than instead of it. The converging arms add the inward travel that makes the contraction complete at the top of the range.
- Plate-loaded converging incline chest press
- Training load up to 240 kg, 310 mm pins taking six 20 kg Bodytone plates per arm
- Two storage horns per side, four 20 kg plates each
- Chromed seat post, eight positions, laser-etched numbering
- Knurled anodised aluminium handles
- Recommended user height range 150 to 200 cm
Muscles worked
Primary load on the upper pectorals, with significant involvement of the anterior deltoid and the triceps. The seated, supported position keeps the trunk stable so the load stays on the pressing muscles rather than on trunk stabilisation, which makes progression easier to measure session to session.
Construction
Cold forming on a four-roller bender preserves the mechanical properties of the tube through the bends. Pivots run on double tapered roller SKF bearings with a closed anti-loosening ring. Three-coat paint: antioxidant primer plus epoxy polyester powder finish. Seat and back are moulded high-density EVA foam under perspiration-resistant, antibacterial and hypoallergenic synthetic leather. Plate horns are burnished steel with turned aluminium stops, fasteners are grade 10.9, and the machine stands on four non-slip rubber bases with a non-slip platform. Manufactured in Spain.

Frequently asked questions
Should we specify an incline press as well as a flat press?
In a chest zone of three stations or more, yes. Flat and incline load different portions of the pectoralis major, and members will use both. Below three stations, a flat converging press covers the wider need first.
How is the machine set up for a user?
Seat height is the only adjustment required. The chromed post has eight laser-numbered positions, so a user or a coach can record a setting once and reproduce it exactly at every session.
What clearance and floor loading should be planned?
The machine occupies 191 x 107 cm and stands 175 cm high. Allow 70 to 80 cm of clear access on the loading side, and verify the slab capacity on upper floors given 151 kg of frame plus up to 240 kg of plates.
The SR04E is quoted at 2,595 EUR excluding VAT, before delivery and installation. Plates are quoted separately so the loading matches your existing set. Send us your floor plan and we will return a full chest-zone proposal within 24 to 72 hours. The complete range is listed under Solid Rock plate loaded.
