Description
The Bodytone Solid Rock SR07E converging seated row is a plate loaded back machine taking up to 240 kg, built for intensive professional use. The converging movement brings the handles together as the pull completes, which reproduces the natural arc of a rowing motion far better than a parallel path and gives a more precise muscular sensation at the end of the range. The result is a powerful, fluid pull with excellent stability across a wide range of body sizes.
The frame uses thick wall steel tube with reinforcement at the stress points and a multi coat paint treatment for long term durability. The seat adjusts across eight positions, the handles are knurled anodised aluminium for a secure grip when the hands are damp, and the footplate is non slip so the user stays anchored during the pull. Seat, backrest and pads are EVA foam, which keeps comfort acceptable under repeated daily use.

Where a converging row belongs
Converging machines are the argument for buying plate loaded rather than selectorised in a back zone. On a selectorised row the handles travel on parallel lines, so the shoulder joint has to accommodate a path it would not choose. On the SR07E the arms converge as the elbows pass the torso, which is the movement a rower makes with free weights, and the eight seat positions let the pivot be aligned to the user rather than the other way round.
The machine suits professional gyms, personal training studios and intensive training spaces. Install it with plate storage on both sides so discs are not carried across the floor, on weightlifting grade rubber flooring to protect the slab and reduce noise. Because loading is by disc rather than by stack, the machine has no cables or pulleys to service, which is the practical reason plate loaded equipment is chosen for high traffic areas.
Frequently asked questions
Which muscles does it train?
Mainly the latissimus dorsi, rhomboids, trapezius and posterior deltoids, with the biceps assisting. It fits into upper body strengthening programmes for hypertrophy and for functional back work alike.
Are discs included?
No. The machine takes standard Olympic discs, which can be quoted with it along with a storage solution so the zone is delivered complete.
How does the eight position seat help?
It sets the height of the chest pad relative to the handles, which determines whether the pull emphasises the upper back or the lats and whether the shoulder tracks correctly. On a machine used by members from 1.55 m to over 2 m, that adjustment range is what makes one station serve everyone.
