Description
The Bodytone FH62 is a selectorised hip thrust machine. It trains the gluteal muscles through hip extension on a guided path, replacing the barbell-and-bench arrangement that ties up a bench, a rack and a set of plates for a single exercise.
Why a dedicated hip thrust station earns its floor space
Barbell hip thrusts are one of the most requested exercises on a commercial gym floor and one of the least well executed. Loading and unloading a bar across the hips is slow, the set-up intimidates newer members, and the bench being used is unavailable to anyone else. A selectorised station removes all three problems: the user sits, sets the pin and works. Turnover on the station is measured in seconds rather than minutes, which is what makes the 118 x 144 cm footprint pay for itself in a busy free-weight area.
Specification and loading
- Guided hip extension path with back and hip support.
- Weight stack of 107 kg as standard, extendable to 134 kg as an option.
- 7 kg increment per plate, suited to mixed-ability membership.
- Net weight 230 kg — check against the floor loading capacity for any installation above ground level.
Planning the installation
Allow the 118 x 144 cm footprint plus an access and circulation zone, which is set out on your layout drawing rather than fixed by the machine. Because the load is concentrated and the movement is dynamic, the station belongs on rubber flooring of an appropriate thickness; our rubber gym flooring tiles range covers the usual specifications.

Frequently asked questions
Is the 134 kg stack worth specifying?
The glutes tolerate heavy loading and experienced users reach the top of a 107 kg stack quickly on this movement. If your membership includes strength-trained users, the extended stack avoids the station becoming a warm-up piece.
What does a 7 kg increment mean in practice?
It is a coarser step than a cable machine, which suits a large muscle group. For finer progression, add-on saddle weights can be quoted.
What are the delivery and installation lead times?
Allow 3 to 6 weeks from order to commissioning in mainland France, 4 to 6 weeks in Belgium and 5 to 7 weeks in Switzerland.
