Description
The Bodytone FH50 is a selectorised squat and calf machine designed for slow, controlled execution. The guided path holds the movement in one plane, which lets a user work through a deliberate tempo without the balance demand that limits load on a free-weight squat.
Tempo work on a compact plan
Slow eccentric and paused repetitions are a staple of both hypertrophy programming and rehabilitation, and they are difficult to coach under a barbell where fatigue quickly becomes a safety issue. The FH50 makes the tempo the variable instead of the technique. Its 119 x 119 cm square footprint is small for a lower-body station and lets it sit in a line of selectorised machines rather than requiring free-weight floor space.
Specification and loading
- Guided squat path with calf raise position on the same frame.
- Weight stack of 107 kg as standard, extendable to 134 kg as an option.
- 7 kg increment per plate.
- Net weight 253 kg on a 119 x 119 cm square footprint.
- Overall height 175 cm.
Where it fits on the floor
Two uses dominate. In a general fitness club it gives members a squat pattern they will actually use, without queuing for the rack. In a rehabilitation or senior-focused setting it allows a loaded knee and ankle progression under full control. Either way, add access and circulation space to the square footprint when preparing the layout, and confirm the 253 kg net weight against the floor loading if the gym is above ground level.

Frequently asked questions
Does the FH50 replace a squat rack?
No. It covers the squat pattern for members who will not or should not use a barbell, and it takes pressure off the rack at peak times. Serious strength users still need the rack.
Can calf raises and squats be programmed on the same station?
Yes — both positions are on the one frame, which is why the machine works well as a lower-body finisher station at the end of a circuit.
What are the delivery and installation lead times?
Allow 3 to 6 weeks from order to commissioning in mainland France, 4 to 6 weeks in Belgium and 5 to 7 weeks in Switzerland.
