Description
The Bodytone FBC18 is a free-weight hip thrust platform. Unlike a selectorised station it carries no weight stack: the user loads a barbell, or works with handles, kickback attachments and resistance bands, on a low frame just 41 cm high.
One platform, four ways to load it
- Barbell hip thrust, with the bar supported at the correct start height.
- Glute work using the fitted handles.
- Rear kickbacks from a stable braced position.
- Resistance band exercises anchored to the frame.
That range is why the FBC18 tends to be busier than a single-purpose station in studio and small-group settings: one piece of equipment supports a whole glute-focused class format rather than one exercise.
Free weight rather than selectorised
The trade-off is straightforward. A free-weight platform has no ceiling on load beyond the plates available and costs less than a stack machine, but each set requires loading and unloading, and the user needs to know what they are doing. Where turnover matters more than load flexibility, a selectorised alternative such as the Bodytone FH62 hip thrust machine is the better fit. Many operators install both.
Layout notes
The FBC18 occupies 195 x 109 cm and weighs 105 kg net — heavy enough to stay put, light enough to reposition during a floor reconfiguration. Plates and bars are not included in the frame and must be listed separately on the quotation. Because bars are loaded and unloaded at floor level, place the station on rubber flooring rated for dropped weight.

Frequently asked questions
Are plates or bars included?
No. The FBC18 is a free-weight station, so bars, plates and bands are separate line items. Check they appear on your quotation before ordering.
Can it be used for group classes?
Yes — the band and handle options make it viable for small-group formats where not every participant is working with a loaded bar.
What are the delivery and installation lead times?
Allow 3 to 6 weeks from order to commissioning in mainland France, 4 to 6 weeks in Belgium and 5 to 7 weeks in Switzerland.
