Description

The Solid Grow SG62 is a vertical hip thrust station loaded with 50 mm Olympic discs, with a recommended maximum load of 67 kg. Price: 1,570 EUR excluding VAT.

A hip thrust without the barbell problem

The barbell hip thrust is one of the most effective glute exercises available, and one of the most awkward to run on a busy floor. It needs a bench, a loaded bar, a pad, and a member willing to roll a bar over the hips. The SG62 removes all of that: the user stands into a backrest with an integrated hip pad and drives against a vertical load path.

Set up time drops to a few seconds, which matters when a coach is running a circuit or when the station has to serve members who are not comfortable handling a loaded barbell.

Loading and muscles worked

  • Recommended maximum load: 67 kg
  • Disc compatibility: 50 mm Olympic, discs not supplied
  • Primary target: gluteus maximus
  • Secondary: hamstrings
  • Suggested accessory: a 50 kg disc set per machine

Free weight loading means the resistance is the plate mass and nothing else, with no cables, pulleys or selector pins to service.

Where the Solid Grow range fits

Solid Grow is the Bodytone entry to mid range, aimed at small studios, independent coaches and premium home gyms. It gives a guided movement and a stable frame at a lower entry cost than a full commercial line, which makes it a practical way to add a glute station to a floor that already has racks and benches.

Frame and floor requirements

The frame is welded steel with a powder coated finish. Because the load is applied low and close to the base, the station does not need to be anchored on a standard concrete or screed floor. On a raised or floating floor, or over a thick rubber tile, tell us the floor build up and we will confirm whether a spreader plate is worth adding.

Frequently asked questions

Are the discs included?

No. The 1,570 EUR excluding VAT covers the machine. We recommend budgeting a 50 kg set of 50 mm Olympic discs per station, which can be added to the same quotation.

Why is the maximum load only 67 kg?

67 kg is the recommended plate load, not the resistance felt by the user. On a vertical hip thrust the lever geometry and body position mean that this plate load already produces a demanding effort for most members, and it covers the great majority of glute programming.

Is it suitable for a small studio?

Yes. Solid Grow was designed for small and medium rooms, independent coaches and premium home gyms, where a single glute station has to justify its floor area.

Tell us how many stations you need and the room you have available, and we will send a written quotation covering the machine, a matching disc set and delivery in France. See the full Bodytone Solid Grow range.
