Description
The Area Cross Training 3 is the most compact freestanding cage in the range: 1750 x 2480 x 2855 mm, or 4.3 square metres of floor area, built from 100 x 100 x 4.0 mm high-durability steel tube for a total weight of 190 kg. It needs no load-bearing wall. Professional price: 2,500 EUR excluding VAT.
A genuine three-dimensional cage in 4.3 square metres
Every other freestanding cage in the catalogue is 4 m long or more, occupying 12 to 30 square metres. The Area 3 is 1.75 m long by 2.48 m deep, three to seven times less. That is the point of the product: it is the only freestanding cage that fits where no other cage fits, and it is a true 3D frame rather than a half rack bolted to a wall.
- Dips, pull-ups, muscle-ups, monkey bar work, plyometrics, landmine press, squat and bench
- Freestanding, so no load-bearing wall is required and the unit can be relocated
- Recommended training area 3250 x 2500 mm, around 8.1 square metres including clearances
- Modular design, extended by optional accessories
- One to three athletes at a time
- Indoor use: training boxes, coaching studios and functional zones

Frequently asked questions
Wall-mounted or freestanding?
If you have a load-bearing wall and need to serve four to six athletes, a wall-mounted structure gives more usable length for the money. If there is no load-bearing wall, or the cage must be relocatable, the Area 3 is the answer, and it includes the landmine and plyometric capability that wall structures do not.
How much room does it really need?
The frame occupies 4.3 square metres, but plan for the recommended training area of 3250 x 2500 mm, about 8.1 square metres, which includes the clearances needed to use the stations. A room of 15 to 20 square metres accommodates it with space left for floor work.
What flooring should be laid underneath?
With 190 kg of structure on 4.3 square metres, a 20 mm rubber tile is recommended under the cage and its clearances, roughly 8 square metres. It protects the slab, reduces vibration and secures the landing area. See our rubber gym flooring tiles.
The Area Cross Training 3 is quoted at 2,500 EUR excluding VAT, before delivery and installation. Send us the room dimensions and the optional accessories you want and we will return a layout and a full budget within 24 to 72 hours.
