Description
The Model 3 freestanding CrossFit rig measures 735 by 195 centimetres and anchors to the floor only, with no load bearing wall required. It is the reference format for premises that cannot take a wall mounted structure: warehouses, converted garages, cladding or plasterboard buildings.
The 735 centimetre length is not arbitrary. It allows three to four squat and pull up posts to be aligned side by side at the 180 to 200 centimetre centres that regulations require between stations. Three to four posts accommodate eight to twelve athletes rotating through a workout, which is the most common class size in a CrossFit box.
The 195 centimetre depth means athletes work on one side of the rig only. That makes it the most compact freestanding format at this length, occupying 14.3 square metres of floor and leaving the maximum free space in front for workouts, barbells and movement.

Choosing between rig formats
The decision rule is straightforward. If the premises have a 7.35 metre concrete load bearing wall and the budget is tight, a wall mounted rig of the same length costs less and is the sensible choice. If there is no load bearing wall and eight to twelve athletes need to train at once, this freestanding format is the answer. If more than fifteen athletes must work simultaneously, a double sided freestanding rig doubles the capacity and roughly doubles the floor area.
Installation requires a slab capable of taking the anchor loads, which should be verified before ordering rather than on delivery day. Our technical team reviews the floor construction and the ceiling height, since pull up and muscle up work needs clearance above the top bar. We deliver and install across France, cover Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, and quote export projects individually.
Frequently asked questions
Can the dimensions be changed?
No. Model 3 is a fixed dimension rig held in stock, which is what keeps its price and lead time down. A custom freestanding rig is available where the room imposes different dimensions.
What floor is needed?
A concrete slab suitable for anchoring. Send photographs and the slab specification with the quotation request and we confirm the fixing arrangement, or propose an alternative.
Are accessories included?
The rig is supplied complete in its standard configuration. Additional attachments, bars and storage are quoted separately according to the disciplines practised in the box.
