The TRAINER Steel4Fit Pedal Bench combines a seat and a twin pedal unit for outdoor cycling work. It measures 1,500 x 1,100 x 820 mm, weighs 35 kg, and is certified to EN 16630:2015 by TUV Rheinland. Professional price: 2,148 EUR excluding VAT.
The station older users will actually use
Seated pedalling has a specific value on a public fitness trail: it is low, stable and needs no balance, so users who will not attempt a standing station will sit down and start. The circular movement works the quadriceps, hamstrings and calves, benefits the knee joints through controlled range of motion, and raises cardio-respiratory capacity over a sustained session.
At 820 mm high it also has the lowest profile of the range, which matters when a scheme is constrained by sightlines across a park or a residential courtyard.

Where it is installed
Urban parks, municipal fitness areas, schools and shared sports spaces under intensive use. It is a standard component of a multi-generational outdoor fitness trail, where a circuit has to work for teenagers and for users in their seventies on the same route. EN 16630:2015 is the European standard for permanently installed outdoor fitness equipment and is the reference cited in public tenders.

Foundations and installation
The bench is anchored into concrete foundations sized for the equipment mass and the maximum user weight. Foundation drawings are supplied with the order so groundworks can be finished before delivery, which is usually the critical path item on a municipal installation. Our teams handle the layout study, the anchor preparation and the installation itself, with the terms set out on the quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Is there any resistance setting?
No. Effort is controlled by cadence. That is deliberate for unsupervised equipment: nothing to set incorrectly and nothing that can seize.
Can it be used by someone with limited mobility?
The seated position and low frame height make it one of the more approachable stations, but it is not a wheelchair-accessible unit. For wheelchair users, specify a station from the accessible range with a folding seat.
What maintenance is needed?
An annual inspection of the pedal bearings, anchor bolts and coating. There is no cable, stack or upholstery to replace.
Light In Fitness designs and supplies outdoor fitness areas for local authorities, schools, campsites and property developers. Send us your site plan and we will quote equipment, surfacing and installation together.
