This blue curled artificial turf track measures 20 m x 2 m and belongs to the Curled sprint lane range, whose short coiled fibres give a compact, resilient surface underfoot. Blue is chosen where the training lane needs to be visually distinct from the rest of the floor, which matters more than it sounds in a functional area: a clearly delineated lane keeps members out of the sled path without any signage, and it gives a photographable identity to the zone.

The coiled fibre construction is what produces the traction at a sprint start and the resistance to repeated sled passes. It is a training surface first and a decorative one second, and it avoids everything that makes natural grass impractical indoors, from watering to allergens.

Using colour to organise a training floor

Colour is the cheapest zoning tool available to a gym operator. How is it cleaned?

Regular vacuuming and periodic brushing of the fibres, with water and a neutral detergent for cleaning. No watering, mowing or fertilising is required.
