Description
The grey 15 mm rubber tile — 100 × 100 cm, 900 kg/m³ high-density recycled SBR — is the discreet workhorse of gym flooring: one tile, one square metre, 13.5 kg of vibration-damping mass. Anti-slip, wear-resistant and usable indoors and outdoors, it is priced at 23 EUR excluding VAT per tile.
Why grey earns its place on a gym floor
Grey is the colour that professional floors default to for good reason: it reads as clean and technical, disguises dust and chalk between cleaning rounds better than black, and pairs with any equipment livery. Facilities use it as the main field of the floor plan — machine zones, circulation — with coloured tiles from the same range marking out functional zones on top of it.
- 100 × 100 cm — one tile covers exactly one square metre
- 15 mm high-density SBR, 900 kg/m³ — 13.5 kg per tile
- Fine-grain anti-slip surface, stable underfoot in demanding exercises
- Absorbs impact and vibration, protects slab and equipment, cuts noise
- Fire classification Efl; indoor and outdoor use
- Other thicknesses on request: 15, 20, 25, 30 and 40 mm
Acoustics of the 15 mm thickness
As an order of magnitude for high-density SBR tiles of this thickness, impact-noise attenuation is around 18 to 20 dB (ΔLw index, ISO 10140-3 type tests) — suited to pin-loaded machine areas and strength zones without bar drops. The exact value depends on the base and installation method; for upper-floor rooms adjoining offices or bedrooms, an acoustic underlay beneath the tiles raises the target to 25–30 dB.
Installation and care
The tiles install easily with the range’s fixings, and the fine grain lets the floor be cleaned effectively with a vacuum or damp mop. Keep oils and greases off the surface — they degrade rubber. Typical settings: fitness clubs, cross-training boxes, outdoor fitness trails, home training spaces, workshops and garages.

Frequently asked questions
Which zones is the 15 mm thickness right for?
Machine areas and strength zones without free-weight drops, plus circulation and multi-purpose training spaces. Zones with regular bar or dumbbell drops call for the thicker versions of the range, available on request up to 40 mm.
Does the grey surface show wear?
The colour runs through the granulate rather than sitting on the surface, and grey is particularly forgiving of dust and chalk between cleans — one reason it is the default field colour of commercial floors.
Can a full floor plan be quoted in several colours?
Yes. The range also comes in red, blue and green, so a floor plan can combine a grey field with coloured zoning. Quotes are free and returned within 24 to 72 hours.
