Gym flooring on an upper floor: assess acoustic requirements

For a studio, a gym adjoining other premises or a hotel fitness room, assess impact noise in relation to the substrate, equipment and how weights are set down. Tile thickness alone cannot guarantee a reduction in decibels for your project.

Before specifying a numerical target, request the acoustic test report applicable to this product and the actual installed build-up: tile, any underlay, substrate and installation method. A generic value associated with a rubber thickness is not a test result for this product.
