Description
The 10 mm shock-absorbing underlay comes in 1 x 2 m sheets (2 m2) at 18 EUR excluding VAT per sheet. Laid under Sprint Track or Multiplay sports turf, this 200 kg/m3 composite foam layer adds impact absorption, protects the turf from wear and improves playing comfort — tested to EN 1177 for impact-attenuating surfacing.
What the underlay changes
Synthetic turf laid directly on a hard substrate transmits every impact to the user and wears prematurely at high-traffic points. A 10 mm shock-absorbing layer between substrate and turf addresses both problems:
- Impact absorption — a safer, more comfortable surface for sled work, sprints and games
- Longer turf life — the underlay evens out the substrate and buffers mechanical wear
- More consistent playing properties — stable, uniform response across the surface
- Noise reduction — the foam layer damps impact sound transmission
Simple, tool-light installation
The sheet lays directly on any flat, clean substrate, indoors or outdoors. It cuts cleanly with a utility knife for perimeter and obstacle adjustments, and is held in place with suitable adhesive tape before the turf goes down. The material is frost-resistant, suitable for permanent outdoor exposure, and 100% recyclable.
Typical applications
- Functional zones with sprint tracks and turf lanes in commercial gyms
- Outdoor training areas and playgrounds where fall attenuation matters
- Multi-sport surfaces needing a uniform, stable response

Frequently asked questions
Is this underlay compatible with all sports turf?
It is designed for Sprint Track and Multiplay turf and works with comparable synthetic sports surfaces. It can also serve wherever a thin, dense shock-absorbing layer is needed under a finished floor.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. The composite foam is frost-resistant and withstands outdoor conditions, which makes it suitable for outdoor training areas and playgrounds as well as indoor functional zones.
What is the long-term benefit?
By absorbing impacts before they reach the turf backing and the substrate, the underlay extends the life of the surface above it — reducing replacement costs at high-traffic points while keeping the surface comfortable and consistent.
