Description
The 16 mm puzzle shock-absorbing underlay is a 225 x 90 cm interlocking base layer that goes beneath synthetic turf, multisport surfaces and rubber tiles: EN 1177 certified with a protected fall height of 0.68 m, for indoor and outdoor use. Price: 35 EUR excluding VAT.
The layer that upgrades whatever sits on top
A sports surface is only as good as what is underneath it. Laid under sprint-track turf, multisport pitches, play areas or rubber tiles, the 16 mm underlay adds a continuous shock-absorbing cushion that protects users’ joints, reduces impact noise transmission — valuable in urban sites, upstairs gyms and facilities near housing — and shields the top surface from the substrate, extending its service life through weather and temperature cycles.
Certified fall protection
The underlay is certified to EN 1177, the European impact-attenuation standard for playground surfacing, with a critical fall height of up to 0.68 m. That makes it a documented safety layer under children’s play zones and a measurable comfort upgrade under fitness and multisport surfaces.
Puzzle assembly: fast, tool-free, adjustable
The interlocking puzzle edges join the 225 x 90 cm panels into a continuous, stable layer without adhesives or tools; panels cut easily to follow room shapes and borders. Installation is a direct lay on any clean, flat substrate, indoors or out, and the material — fully recyclable — is covered by a 3-year manufacturer warranty.

Sizing your order
Each 225 x 90 cm panel covers just over 2 m2, so a 50 m2 studio floor needs around 25 panels; allow roughly 5 percent extra for cuts along walls and around posts. Because the panels interlock in both directions, layouts can run lengthwise under sprint tracks or staggered under large tile fields, and individual panels can be lifted and replaced later without disturbing the rest of the layer. On acoustic-driven projects — gyms above offices, hotel fitness rooms above bedrooms — the underlay works as the second half of a two-layer build-up with the finished surface on top, and we calculate the combined thickness against your target during the quote.
Frequently asked questions
What surfaces can be laid over it?
Synthetic turf for sprint tracks and multisport zones, rubber gym tiles, and play-area surfacing. The underlay adds absorption and acoustic damping beneath each of them.
Does it work outdoors year-round?
Yes — it is designed for indoor and outdoor use and protects the assembly against weather and temperature swings, keeping performance stable across seasons.
How is it installed on site?
Prepare a clean, flat substrate, interlock the panels like puzzle pieces, trim edges to fit, then lay the top surface directly over. No adhesives or specialist tools are needed.
