Description
The 30 mm composite polyurethane (PU) acoustic underlay panel is the high-performance version of the range: 200 kg/m3 density, around 6 kg/m2 of surface mass and sound absorption from 50 Hz. It is specified where noise loads are severe, industrial plant, shooting ranges, intensive gyms and high-constraint buildings, at 69.00 EUR excluding VAT per m2, with volume discounts.
Mass is what makes the 30 mm version different
At the same 200 kg/m3 density as the 10 mm panel, the 30 mm thickness triples the surface mass to roughly 6 kg/m2. In acoustics, heavier surfaces transmit less energy: the added mass noticeably improves impact-noise insulation and low-frequency attenuation from 50 Hz upward. The composition is unchanged, hypoallergenic PU foam, mould and bacteria resistant, with a non-slip surface, in 100 x 200 cm panels of 2 m2 each, cut with a utility knife.
Target installations
- Industry: soundproofing of machine enclosures, technical zones and continuously running equipment transmitting vibration to the structure
- Shooting ranges: one component of a complete acoustic treatment, absorbing part of the reflected energy on walls and floor
- High-constraint buildings: under floating slabs or inside double-skin partitions to help meet regulatory impact and airborne insulation levels
- Intensive gyms: beneath flooring in free-weight zones with heavy traffic
What to check before ordering
- Height loss: 30 mm added to finished floor level, doors, thresholds and transitions must be checked in renovation projects
- Not compatible with standard residential floating parquet; the 10 mm version of the range covers that use
- A vapour barrier is required on damp concrete or basements: PU foam is not a vapour barrier
- Cutting 30 mm takes a fresh blade, a metal straight edge and two passes

Frequently asked questions
When is 30 mm worth it over 10 mm?
When noise loads are severe: continuously running machinery, intensive foot traffic, shooting ranges or regulatory acoustic thresholds. Where height is the limiting factor, or under residential floating parquet, the 10 mm version is the right choice; the two can also be combined, 10 mm on floors with 30 mm wall treatment.
Can the panel line a machine enclosure?
Yes, that is a direct use of the 30 mm version: fixed inside a hood or enclosure it absorbs airborne noise and reduces internal reflections. It can be glued with a PU-compatible neoprene adhesive or fixed mechanically; check the foam’s maximum service temperature near heat-producing machines.
Is it a complete solution for a shooting range?
No. A range requires a full system, absorption, mass and structural decoupling, plus treatment of openings and ventilation. The 30 mm panel is an effective absorbing component within that system; send us the range’s dimensions for a sized treatment plan.
