Description
EGERIA suspends two ladders 400 mm wide in a diagonal cross, braced by four vertical stabilising cables, between posts 3.0 m apart. The ladder rungs are hot-dip galvanised steel profiles, so the holds are rigid even though the structure moves.
Rigid rungs on a moving frame
Rope modules train grip and balance; ladders train foot placement. EGERIA combines the two by hanging rigid rungs from a suspended assembly, so a child gets a solid surface underfoot that nevertheless shifts when weight is applied. The diagonal cross means the two ladders meet in the middle, and children have to decide whether to continue on their own ladder or transfer to the other one.

A narrow module for a narrow strip
At 0.5 m wide, EGERIA is the slimmest module in the collection. Where a rope trail has to run along the edge of a field or between a path and a boundary, it fits situations that the 1.0 m and 1.5 m modules do not, while still needing the standard 5.3 m surfaced width.
Maintenance
Galvanised rungs need no coating maintenance, and the items to record at inspection are the stabilising cable tensions and the articulated connections at each ladder end, under the regime required by EN 1176.
Frequently asked questions
Are the rungs slippery when wet?
They are steel profiles, and like any outdoor equipment they are wet in the rain. The module is certified for outdoor public use and the surfacing beneath is specified against the full free height of fall.
Can children cross from one ladder to the other?
Yes, at the crossing point. That transfer is the most interesting movement the module produces.
What does the XL version change?
EGERIA XL uses the same two crossed ladders and four cables across a 4.24 m span, with a safety area of 5.3 x 9.6 m.
