Description
This compact outdoor station groups three units, the (E)26 Stepper, the (E)08 Twister and the (E)07 Runner, around motor coordination rather than around load. Coordination is the quality that outdoor fitness equipment is genuinely good at training and that indoor machines largely ignore, and it is also what keeps casual users returning to a park installation instead of trying it once. The three units together cover the lower body, the trunk and the joints in a footprint suitable for a courtyard, a park corner or a school ground.
The (E)08 Twister is the unit that defines this configuration. The user stands on a rotating platform, holds the rail for stability and turns the lower body alternately left and right while the upper body stays still. That dissociation of hips from shoulders trains rotational control, tones the obliques and the transverse abdominis, and mobilises the hip joints. It is a movement almost no one performs spontaneously, which is why it produces a noticeable effect quickly.
The (E)26 Stepper is used seated with the feet on pedals set to the user, driving a continuous pedalling motion that stimulates circulation, activates the hips and knees, strengthens the thighs and calves and gently mobilises the leg joints. The (E)07 Runner works standing on moving platforms with a support bar, alternating the legs to build lower body strength and endurance while increasing hip range of movement. Between them the three units suit every level from a first session to a trained athlete.

Choosing between the compact station configurations
Compact three unit stations are supplied in different combinations, and the choice comes down to the population you are equipping for. This configuration, built around the Twister, suits sites where balance, rotation and mobility matter most: residential schemes with older residents, rehabilitation oriented trails, corporate outdoor spaces and school grounds. A configuration built around the Surfer instead puts more emphasis on abdominal work and upper to lower body synchronisation. Both use the same principles: user driven resistance, no weights to secure, no supervision required. Position the group in view of a path or a building, allow clear space around each unit for movement, and settle the concrete base and the surrounding surface before ordering. We prepare a free implantation study from your site plan covering base design, surfacing, spacing and unit choice.
Frequently asked questions
What does the Twister actually train?
Rotational control of the trunk over the hips, together with the obliques and the deep abdominal muscles, plus hip joint mobility. It is used standing, with the hands on the rail and the upper body held still.
Is the station suitable for older users?
The seated stepper is the most accessible unit and is widely used by older people and by anyone returning to activity. The standing units require reasonable balance, which the support rails assist.
How is the station installed?
It is anchored permanently into a prepared concrete base, with a firm free draining surface around it. Both are sized in the free implantation study we produce from your site plan before quotation.
