Description
The Solid Grow SG30 is a preacher curl station loaded with 50 mm Olympic discs, with a recommended maximum load of 56 kg. Price: 1,399 EUR excluding VAT.
The elbow pad does the coaching
A standing barbell curl turns into a hip swing within about four repetitions of the point at which the biceps starts to fatigue. Everyone knows it, few people stop doing it, and the set stops training what it was meant to train.
The preacher pad removes the option. With the upper arms resting on an inclined support, the torso cannot contribute, so the movement stays at the elbow and the biceps brachii receives the whole of the effort. The station enforces the technique that a coach would otherwise have to correct set after set.
Guided path, adjustable elbow support
- Adjustable elbow support to suit different arm lengths
- Rail guided movement isolating the biceps
- Recommended maximum load: 56 kg
- Disc compatibility: 50 mm Olympic, discs not supplied
- Target: biceps brachii, isolated
- Suggested accessory: a 50 kg disc set per machine
The guided path also means the resistance stays consistent through the range, giving maximum contraction at the top and full control on the way down, which is where most of the adaptation from a curl actually comes from.
Who it is for
Solid Grow is the Bodytone entry to mid range, built for small and medium gyms, independent coaches and premium home gyms. A dedicated arm station is often the first thing cut from a small room specification and the first thing members ask for, which makes the SG30 a reliable addition once the compound stations are in place.

Frequently asked questions
Is 56 kg enough for a curl?
Comfortably. A strict preacher curl is a single joint movement performed with the torso locked out of it, and loads well below a standing curl are demanding. 56 kg covers beginners through to experienced members.
Why choose a machine over a preacher bench and an EZ bar?
The bench and bar are cheaper, and they leave the bar to be carried, loaded and put back. The SG30 keeps the discs at the station, guides the path, and adjusts to arm length, which makes it faster to use and tidier on a small floor.
Are the discs included?
No. The 1,399 EUR excluding VAT covers the machine. We recommend a 50 kg set of 50 mm Olympic discs per station, which can be quoted alongside it.
Tell us the room you have and the movements already covered on your floor and we will return a written quotation with the machine, its disc set and delivery in France. See the full Bodytone Solid Grow range.
