TRAINER Set 4 is a four machine outdoor fitness package built around gentle, progressive movement rather than resistance. Every station in the set is low impact, which makes it the configuration to specify where seniors are a primary audience.

The single cross country skier trains the whole body, strengthening legs, arms and trunk while improving coordination and cardiovascular health. The twister and surfer station promotes hip and lumbar spine mobility, reinforces the abdominals and obliques and improves suppleness. The pedal bench uses a double pedal mechanism to strengthen the leg muscles while sparing the knees and stimulating cardio respiratory capacity. The Nordic walker strengthens legs and hips with the joints protected throughout.

Nothing in this selection loads the spine or requires a strong grip, and two of the four stations are used seated or supported. That combination is what allows an area to be genuinely accessible to older users, while remaining engaging enough that teenagers use it too.
