Description
In a wooded park or a nature-themed play area, a concrete kerb can feel like an intrusion. This timber palisade edging draws the boundary in the landscape’s own language: round treated logs that contain the safety surfacing reliably while blending into trees, planting and timber play structures.
Two installation options for two kinds of project
The palisade is available concreted into the ground for permanent, high-traffic boundaries, or loose-laid for evolving layouts that may be reshaped as the play area grows. Both versions use the same round logs – 10 cm in diameter, 70 cm long – treated for lasting resistance to moisture and weathering.
- Round timber logs, 10 cm diameter, 70 cm length
- Two installation options: concreted or loose-laid without fixing
- Retains impact-attenuating surfacing: sand, gravel, wood chips and more
- Solid timber treated for outdoor use, moisture- and weather-resistant
- Natural aesthetic for landscaped parks, nursery schools and campsites
Certified for playground use
The edging is certified compliant with the safety standards applicable to playgrounds (EN 1176 / EN 1177) by an independent certification body, making it a fully specifiable component of a compliant play area.

Frequently asked questions
Concreted or loose-laid – which version should I choose?
Concreted installation is the right call for permanent boundaries and high-traffic zones; loose laying suits evolving layouts and temporary configurations. Our free layout study settles the choice based on how your site is used.
How long does treated timber last outdoors?
The logs are solid timber treated for permanent outdoor exposure, resistant to moisture and weathering; like all playground components they are covered by the periodic inspection routine required for public play areas.
Which surfacing does it pair best with?
Its natural look makes it the classic partner for wood chips and sand, though it retains any surfacing in our playground surfacing range.
