Description

The numbers move to the side and the running lane stays clean. The Standard 02 turf sprint track carries its 01 to 10 numbering on a continuous graduated rule along the edge of the lane, leaving the centre of the track free of any marking. The benefit is immediate: the figures never disappear under a sled or under the feet of an athlete mid-effort. This is the variant to choose when the lane is used mainly for sled work and heavy conditioning.

Side numbering on a continuous graduated rule

The marking is built into the surface, not applied on top of it. The 01 to 10 sequence runs along one side on a graduated rule, so a coach calls a distance and the athlete reads it at floor level, with no cones and no tape measure. Because the centre of the lane carries nothing, the most heavily used part of the surface has no printing to wear away.

Pro quality 16 mm turf, sold by the square metre

16 mm fibre in Pro quality synthetic turf, specified for intensive indoor use. The track is sold by the square metre with length and width made to measure, so the lane fits the room instead of the room being rearranged around a standard roll.

Which facilities is it for?

CrossFit boxes and HYROX gyms: a permanent conditioning lane. The side numbering turns distance into a fixed visual reference. The coach calls a number, the athlete reads it at the edge of the lane. Sprints, sled pushes, sled pulls, bear crawls and farmer walks follow one another without repositioning cones for every workout, and times stay comparable from one session to the next.

Strength and conditioning centres: repeatable test distances. The graduated rule supports speed protocols over a fixed distance, from sprint repeats to acceleration testing. The data stays usable over time because the distance no longer depends on where somebody put the equipment.

Weight rooms with a functional zone: a legible floor plan. The marked lane defines the conditioning area without a partition and discourages equipment being parked on it. It is also a signal to members: a marked track says performance gym at a glance.

Clubs and return to running programmes: measurable progression. When an athlete comes back from injury, distance is the parameter to control before intensity. A rule that stays readable at the side of the lane makes progression measurable without a stopwatch or extra equipment.

What to know before ordering

The price is per square metre, not per linear metre. A lane of 15 m by 2 m is 30 m2. Work out the real area before comparing quotations: a price per linear metre and a price per square metre are not the same thing.

The marking is manufactured in, not added afterwards. The numbering and the lines are part of the surface: they do not wear off, but they cannot be changed after delivery. The marking plan and the distances have to be confirmed before production starts.

Turf does not take prolonged static loads. The fibres compress under the feet of racks, selectorised machines or any equipment left standing. Keep the lane free of fixed equipment and plan rubber tiles for machine areas and drop zones.

Fibre composition, backing, weight per m2 and fire classification are not published. Those figures drive delivery logistics and compliance in buildings open to the public. Ask us for the full technical data sheet before committing to a project that has to pass a safety inspection.

Frequently asked questions

Is the track delivered in one piece?

Packaging depends on the dimensions ordered: beyond a certain length the track is supplied in several widths to be joined on site. Send us your dimensions and we will confirm the exact make-up of your configuration.

Can it be laid over existing rubber tiles?

Yes. Installation is on a hard, flat floor: concrete, tiling or rubber tiles. Flatness of the substrate is the critical point, since any irregularity shows through the turf and is felt underfoot when running.

Which width should I choose?

Lanes one metre wide carry a supplement of 14.00 EUR excluding VAT per m2. A width of 2 m allows two athletes side by side or the passage of a wide sled. State the width you want when you request a quotation.

What daily maintenance does it need?

Regular vacuuming to remove dust and debris, periodic brushing to lift the fibres, and washing with water and a neutral detergent. Avoid solvents and pressure washers on the marked areas.

Is turf suitable for sled push and sled pull?

That is its main indoor use. Sled runners glide over the fibres in a controlled and repeatable way, where a rubber tile generates higher resistance that varies more from one pass to the next.

Price: 66.92 EUR excluding VAT per m2. Send us the length and the width of your lane and request a quote, or compare the whole range of numbered artificial turf tracks.
