Description
LOTA is where rope climbing starts. At 5.9 by 4.0 m and 3.3 m high, with climbing nets on its faces, a raised platform and a secure access point sized for small children, it is deliberately gentle: a first climb that a three-year-old can complete, on a structure a nursery or a small residential scheme can actually fit and afford.
A first climbing experience
- Nets pitched for small hands and short reach, so a child succeeds on an early attempt rather than being defeated at the first move.
- A secure access point designed for young children, which is what allows the 0 to 14 age range.
- A single raised platform: one clear objective, reached and left by routes a small child can see from the ground.
- Free height of fall of 1.0 m, so an accompanying adult can reach any position on the structure.
Where it works
Nurseries and pre-schools, small residential courtyards, hotel gardens and family campsite pitches. It is also used as the toddler item within a larger play area, positioned so younger siblings have their own structure while older children use something more demanding nearby — provided the two impact areas do not conflict.
Materials and construction
Stainless steel structural posts; 18 mm polyamide rope with a braided galvanised steel core, cut-resistant and UV-stable; aluminium and stainless steel connectors; impact and weather resistant HPL decorative panels; high-strength concrete foundations at 0.6 m depth. The specification is identical to the largest structures in the range: a small structure here is not a lighter build, only a smaller one. See the full Diamond Collection play structures.

Frequently asked questions
Will children outgrow it quickly?
Children of eight and above will find it easy, which is why LOTA is usually specified as the young-children item within a mixed play area rather than as the only structure on a site serving all ages.
How much space does it really need?
8.5 by 6.7 m of clear impact area, about 57 m2. That is the figure to plan against, not the 5.9 by 4.0 m of the structure itself.
Can it be placed next to a larger structure?
Yes, provided the impact areas do not overlap in a way the standard does not permit. We check that on your layout drawing before quoting.
Send us your plan and tell us which age group is the priority, and we will return a costed proposal covering equipment, foundations, installation and the compliance file within 24 business hours.
