Description

The Lexco LPS-121 is a chest supported pulldown with a 100 kg stack, an eleven position fore and aft seat adjuster and a dual position handle. Moving the seat towards or away from the frame is how the machine is fitted to the user, and eleven steps make that a fine adjustment rather than a compromise.

A vertical pull is only as good as the alignment between the shoulder and the pulley. If the seat sits too far back the bar travels in front of the face and the lat never reaches full contraction; too far forward and the user leans away to complete the repetition. The eleven position slide removes that guesswork, and the dual position handle then changes the grip so the same station covers a wide and a narrow pull without a second attachment.

The seat is ergonomic urethane memory foam and the stack sits behind a double sided ABS cover, easy to wipe down and quick to remove for maintenance. The machine stands 1940 mm tall and weighs 260.5 kg in total, which is enough mass to stay planted when a heavier member pulls against the full stack.

Placing pulling stations on the floor

Back stations attract queues, so plan the pull area with more circulation than the equivalent pressing area. A pulldown, a row and a pull up point placed close together let a coach run a pulling circuit without moving members across the room.

The frame stands 1940 mm tall, so check for beams, ducting and lighting on the intended line before fixing the position. In plan the station is under a metre wide, which suits a row along a wall. Allow access on the stack loading flank and clear space in front of the seat. A siting plan with clearances is issued with the quotation once we have your room drawing. We deliver to France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, quote export per project, and dispatch within five to ten working days from stock.

Frequently asked questions

What does the dual position handle change?

Grip width, and with it the emphasis of the pull. A wider grip biases the upper back and a narrower one brings the lats and elbow flexors into a longer range, from the same seat.

Why adjust the seat fore and aft rather than up and down?

Because the critical relationship on a pulldown is the horizontal distance between the shoulder and the cable line. Getting that right is what allows a full contraction without leaning back.

How much clear height does it need?

The machine is 1940 mm tall. Allow additional clearance above for maintenance access to the top pulley and check the ceiling line for services before installation.
