Description
The Lexco LPS-123 is a seated abductor machine with a 75 kg stack, an eight step knee restraint and both upper and lower handles. Two handle heights sound like a detail; they are what lets a user brace the torso properly while the hips do the work.
Abduction loads gluteus medius and minimus along with tensor fasciae latae, the muscles that hold the pelvis level in single leg stance. The exercise fails when the user pushes with the torso instead of the hip, and a secure upper body position is the simplest fix. Offering a grip at two heights means a shorter and a taller member both find a hold that keeps the trunk still.
The knee restraint adjusts over eight steps to set the starting width, and the pads are ergonomically curved urethane memory foam so the load spreads along the outer thigh. A double sided ABS cover closes the stack. The machine weighs 263 kg in total and measures 825 mm across, narrow enough to install beside the matching adductor station in the space one large machine would take.

The abductor in a hip and glute zone
Hip abduction has moved from a peripheral exercise to one of the most requested stations on a general fitness floor, and demand tends to be concentrated at particular hours. Where a club expects queues, two abductor stations are a more useful investment than one abductor and one dual machine, because both can be in use at once.
Placed next to the LPS-118 adductor the pair reads as a defined area and keeps members in one place through a hip session. Each station is under 850 mm wide. Allow clear access on the stack flank and in front of the seat. A siting plan is issued with the quotation once we have your room drawing. We deliver to France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, quote export per project, and dispatch within five to ten working days from stock.
Frequently asked questions
Which muscles does hip abduction train?
Gluteus medius and minimus principally, with tensor fasciae latae assisting. These are the muscles that stabilise the pelvis when standing on one leg, which is why the exercise appears in running and field sport programmes.
Why a 75 kg stack?
Abduction is a short range movement with a modest load range. A 75 kg stack gives finer increments across the weights members actually use, without adding unnecessary height to the machine.
Can the starting width be reduced for a stiff user?
Yes. The eight step restraint sets the start position, so a member with limited hip mobility begins from a narrower position and still trains through a full usable range.
