The C8 station is a hybrid structure that brings a 14 station street workout circuit and cross training strength functions together on a single frame built entirely in marine grade stainless steel. It measures 900 x 320 x 310 cm, accommodates 22 simultaneous users and is supplied with more than 20 stainless steel accessories as standard. Thanks to the Iron Halo System, the columns are not limited to calisthenics: they also configure as a squat stand, an accessory rack and a rope pulling station. Specifying a permanent outdoor installation

The question for a public space is not which rig is best in the abstract, but which one survives a permanent outdoor installation in an exposed or coastal location with no maintenance budget, while satisfying the regulatory file. On that brief, material is the first filter. Other structures in the range use thermally lacquered galvanised posts with only the bars in stainless steel. This one is 316/316L marine grade throughout, including the fixings, which is what separates a service life of 8 to 12 years from more than 20 years without corrosion.

Certification is the second filter. An uncertified structure installed in a public space transfers liability to the local authority in the event of an incident. EN 16630:2015-06E covers structural strength, weld fatigue, entrapment free zones and dynamic loading, and the CE and EU declaration is supplied for the installation file and the safety commission, which is what makes the structure eligible for public procurement.

Density is the third consideration and the one that drives value per square metre of ground. Twenty two users at once across 9 metres of structure, on a footprint only 3.20 m wide, means a narrow strip of a park or a promenade can serve a full class. Plan the impact absorbing surfacing around the structure to EN 1176 and EN 1177 requirements, confirm the free space envelope on all sides, and specify foundations to suit the ground conditions. Beyond that there is nothing to maintain: stainless steel needs no repainting, and the periodic inspection is a visual and fixing check.

Corrosion resistance is inherent to the material through its full thickness rather than provided by a coating that wears. In salt laden or exposed environments that is the difference between a structure that keeps its appearance for two decades and one that needs remedial work within ten years.
