Description
The BL-ACR2 is an outdoor street workout cage measuring 5550 x 3500 x 3240 mm, built from cold formed steel tube, hot dip galvanised and powder coated. The finish system is what decides how long an outdoor structure looks and behaves like new, and this one is specified for permanent exposure.
Cold formed tube gives high tensile strength and a corrosion resistant inner surface. Each tube is then hot dip zinc coated, given a chromate conversion treatment, washed and sanitised before an oven cured powder coat is applied, which produces a strong molecular bond rather than a film that flakes at the edges. The top coat is a super durable polyester with light stable pigments for UV resistance and colour retention.
The structure supports pull ups, dips, muscle ups, hanging work and body weight training for small groups, and accessories can be added to build out the station. It suits calisthenics, functional training, athletic strength work, gymnastic movement, agility and endurance, and it takes several users at once.

Installation, safety zone and surfacing
In open access settings such as a municipal fitness area, a park or a school yard, the structure falls under EN 16630 for permanent outdoor fitness equipment. That requires a safety zone of at least 1.50 m around the structure and an impact attenuating surface to EN 1177, with the thickness set by the free fall height. On closed private sites, a military base, a company or a box, these figures remain the reference for good practice.
Anchoring is by base plates cast into concrete foundations, or bolted to an existing concrete slab. For the landing area we recommend rubber tiles of 40 to 65 mm bonded in place, sized by the same method. A siting study and an anchoring plan are prepared from your site drawing and issued with the quotation. We deliver to France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, quote export per project, and dispatch within five to ten working days from stock.
Frequently asked questions
Why hot dip galvanising as well as powder coating?
The zinc layer protects the steel even where the coating is damaged, which is what stops rust spreading under the paint after a few winters. Powder coating alone is a surface film; galvanising is the substrate protection.
What surface should go underneath?
An impact attenuating surface to EN 1177, with the thickness determined by the free fall height of the equipment. Bonded rubber tiles of 40 to 65 mm are the usual specification for this kind of structure.
How many people can use it at once?
It is designed for small group training, with several stations working simultaneously. The exact number depends on the accessories fitted, which we set out in the quotation.
