Description
The Bus spring rocker gives a toddler play area a vehicle theme that works naturally with road markings and traffic-education layouts. The body is cut from weather-resistant HDPE panel, carried on a single central spring, with ergonomic plastic handles for a secure grip.
Design and play value
Pretend driving is one of the most persistent forms of early role play, and a bus carries more of it than a car: children queue, take turns, announce stops and take on the driver role. For schools running road safety sessions, the model gives an outdoor prop that stays available all year.
- Central spring for a stable rocking motion
- Ergonomic injection-moulded plastic handles
- Weather-resistant HDPE panel body
- Ground anchor supplied for a cast foundation

Installation and siting
The item needs a 0.6 m foundation and a clear safety area of 4.0 x 3.5 m. It is often placed at the edge of a painted road circuit or beside a play house, where the vehicle theme is already established and the rocker completes the sequence.
Maintenance
Checks follow the routine, operational and annual inspection regime set out in EN 1176: spring condition, bolt tightness, handle security and the state of the surfacing. No site painting is required.
Combining it with other equipment
A single rocker rarely stands alone. In school and nursery schemes the bus is usually specified with one or two animal models and a bench, so that supervising adults have somewhere to sit within sight of the safety areas. We quote the group as one package with a single implantation drawing.
Frequently asked questions
Is the bus body a printed graphic?
No. The shape and the colours are produced in weather-resistant HDPE panel, so scratches do not reveal a different colour beneath.
Can it be installed indoors?
The unit is designed for permanent outdoor installation with a cast foundation. Indoor use would need a different fixing solution and a suitable indoor surface, which we can quote separately.
How long does installation take?
Excavation, casting and setting the anchor is normally a half-day operation per unit, with a curing period before the rocker is released for use. The exact programme depends on the surfacing you are installing around it.
