Description
The Buggy spring rocker brings an off-road vehicle theme to a play area in a footprint of well under one metre. The body is cut from weather-resistant HDPE panel and mounted on a single central spring, so a child of two or three can start the movement unaided while a supervising adult stands clear of the rocking envelope.

A spring rocker is often the first piece of equipment a small child manages entirely alone. Installation and siting
Foundation depth is 0.6 m and the anchor is supplied with the unit, so no heavy plant is needed: a mini excavator or hand digging is enough on most sites. Set out a clear safety area of 4.0 x 3.6 m and keep the concrete cap below the finished surface level. Buggy suits nursery and primary school yards, holiday parks, campsites and residential courtyards where a small toddler item has to fit between existing paths and planting.
Maintenance
The HDPE body needs no painting and can be washed down. Routine checks cover the spring and its fixings, the anchor and the surfacing, in line with the routine, operational and annual inspection regime set out in EN 1176. Individual components can be replaced without removing the foundation.
Frequently asked questions
Can the Buggy be installed on grass?
The free height of fall is under 0.6 m, which is low, but the surfacing still has to be assessed against the fall height measured on your site. We check the proposed surface with you at quotation stage rather than assuming grass is adequate.
How much space is needed between two rockers?
Each unit needs its own 4.0 x 3.6 m safety area. Adjacent safety areas may overlap only where the equipment and the layout allow it, so send us the site plan and we will mark the achievable positions.
Does the rocker have handles?
The Buggy is supplied with moulded grip positions integrated into the body rather than separate plastic handles. Where you need a version with fitted handles, the animal-themed models in the same range carry them as standard.
