Description
The Shark spring rocker is the marine character in the range, designed for coastal resorts, campsites and aquatic centres where the wider site already has a water theme. The body is cut from weather-resistant HDPE panel, mounted on a single central spring and fitted with ergonomic plastic handles.
Design and play value
A shark is a deliberately dramatic figure: it draws children who would ignore a gentler animal, and it gives supervising adults an obvious landmark in a busy holiday park. The rocking action stays entirely within the child’s control, so the theatrical shape does not translate into a more demanding ride than the other models in the range.
- Central spring giving a stable, self-limiting motion
- Ergonomic injection-moulded plastic handles
- Weather-resistant HDPE panel body
- Ground anchor supplied

Installation and siting
Foundation depth is 0.6 m and the safety area is 4.0 x 3.5 m. In seaside and lakeside locations the hot-dip galvanised and powder coated steelwork is the point to check at handover, since salt-laden air is the main cause of premature corrosion on cheaper play items.
Maintenance in coastal locations
Rinsing the unit with fresh water at the start and end of the season removes salt deposits and keeps the coating sound. Beyond that, inspection follows the routine, operational and annual regime set out in EN 1176, with particular attention to the spring coils and the anchor.
Frequently asked questions
Is the equipment suitable for a seafront site?
The steel is hot-dip galvanised and powder coated and the body is HDPE, which is the combination normally specified near the coast. We will still review the exposure of your particular site before confirming the specification.
Can it be installed on an existing rubber surface?
Yes, provided the foundation is cast below the surfacing and the surface is made good around the anchor. Send photographs of the existing build-up and we will confirm the method.
What is the weight limit?
The item is designed for a single child within the 0 to 6 age range. Adults should not ride it, and the safety area should be kept clear while it is in use.
Tell us how many units your scheme needs and we will return a costed proposal with an implantation drawing. Request a quotation or see the other spring riders available.
