Bodytone Gym Ball 65 cm — Core Stability and Balance

In brief — Bodytone Gym Ball 65 cm: weight 1.5 kg, brand Bodytone, distributed by Light In Fitness, price 17.50 € excl. VAT.

The Bodytone 65 cm gym ball is the standard size for average-height adults, priced at 17.50 EUR excluding VAT. In a commercial facility it serves three zones at once: core-stability work in group classes, the stretching area, and postural and Pilates-style programming from beginner to advanced level.

Instability that recruits the deep core

The unstable support of a gym ball recruits deep stabilising muscles that floor-based exercises leave at rest. Seated, supine or in plank positions, every movement on the ball demands continuous trunk control — which is why it remains a fixture of Pilates, postural and functional programming. Typical facility uses:

• Deep core work on an unstable seated or supine base
• Support for assisted stretching and mobility sequences
• Pilates and postural class equipment, one ball per participant
• Balance and proprioception drills in reconditioning programmes

Why 65 cm is the standard size

The 65 cm diameter fits adults of roughly 1.65 m to 1.85 m. The check is simple: seated on the ball, hips and knees should form a right angle. Facilities running mixed-population classes stock 65 cm as the core size, adding smaller and larger diameters only for outlying builds.
