Description
The Forza FB55 is a prone leg curl with a compact 149 by 103 by 150 cm footprint and a 107 kg stack, built on the robot welded carbon steel frame shared across the Bodytone Forza range. Lying face down fixes the pelvis against the bench, so the hips cannot rise to assist the movement and the load stays on the hamstrings through the whole range of knee flexion. It is the strictest of the leg curl positions and the one strength focused rooms specify.
The frame uses two carbon steel tube sections, 110 by 50 mm on the weight stack column and 100 by 50 mm on the working frame, both 2.5 mm thick and joined by robotic welding. Guide rods are stainless steel with a double hard chrome treatment for a consistent glide, pulleys are nylon with a V groove and internal bearings, and the cables are PVC sheathed steel with a 1,000 kg breaking load. Ultra quiet ball bearings keep the movement smooth, which matters on a machine used at high repetition counts.
The 107 kg stack is built from 7 kg plates with rubber shock absorbing bumpers and PVC pads, selected magnetically with colour coded intensity levels and a safety cord, and enclosed by 3 mm thermoformed ABS shrouds. Adjustment levers are aluminium with a red quick lock so they are found and set without hunting. A bottle holder and a sliding tray with a non-slip texture, both in 3 mm ABS, are within reach from the bench, and the handles are covered in non-slip, non-absorbent PVC.

Fitting a prone leg curl into the lower body zone
At 149 by 103 cm the FB55 is one of the smaller machines in the lower body group, which makes it easier to place than its function suggests. Leave clear access along one long side of the bench so users can climb on and off without stepping over the stack, and keep the head end away from a wall, since that is the direction the user faces. Hamstring strength is the variable most closely associated with reduced injury rates in field sport athletes, so the machine is a standard specification in performance and club environments alike. Pair it with a leg extension and a leg press for a complete thigh sequence. We provide a free layout study from your floor plan before quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Why choose prone rather than seated?
The prone position fixes the pelvis and works the hamstrings with the hip extended, which strength coaches generally prefer for strict isolation. The seated version is easier to get in and out of and often suits mixed and older memberships better.
What is the weight increment on the stack?
Seven kilogram plates, giving a 107 kg total, with a magnetic colour coded selector so the setting is visible at a glance during coached sessions.
How is the machine supplied?
Despatch from stock takes 5 to 10 working days. Delivery covers France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, export is priced per project, and assembly on site is quoted separately.
