Bodytone Forza FB14 Lat Pulldown, Selectorised Back Machine with 107 kg Stack

The Forza FB14 is a selectorised lat pulldown built on a robot welded carbon steel frame, with a 107 kg stack and a generous 157 by 140 by 192 cm footprint that accommodates users of any build. It is the conventional single bar pulldown of the Bodytone Forza range, the station most members use to develop the latissimus dorsi, and the one that sets the tone for how a back zone is perceived.

Bodytone builds the frame from two carbon steel tube sections, 110 cm on the weight stack column and 100 cm on the working frame, both 50 cm wide and 2.5 mm thick, joined by robotic welding with no spatter. Guide rods are stainless steel with a double hard chrome treatment so the stack keeps a consistent glide over years of use. Pulleys are nylon with a V groove and internal bearings, and the cables are 5 mm steel under a PVC sheath. The ball bearings are chosen for quiet running, which matters when the machine sits close to a studio or a reception area.

The 107 kg stack is made up of 7 kg plates fitted with rubber shock absorbing bumpers and PVC pads, and is operated by a magnetic selector with colour coded intensity levels and a safety cord. Thermoformed ABS shrouds 3 mm thick close off the moving stack for user safety. Handles are covered in PVC, with aluminium handle stops and adjustment levers finished in red so they are found instantly.

Specifying the back zone

A pulldown is used by almost every member who trains the upper body, so its position dictates traffic through the back area more than any other machine. Give it headroom above the top pulley, keep the seat approach clear on both sides, and place it near the seated row so that horizontal and vertical pulling sit together. The large frame of the FB14 is an advantage in clubs with a wide range of body sizes, and the thigh pad has to be set correctly for the pull to load the back rather than lift the user out of the seat, which is worth covering in member inductions. Is a bar supplied with the machine?

The machine is delivered with its standard pulldown bar. Alternative bars and handles can be added to the quotation if you want to offer several grip options at the station.

Why does the stack use 7 kg plates?

Seven kilogram increments suit a pulling movement where members progress in meaningful steps. The magnetic selector with colour coded levels makes the increment visible at a glance during coached sessions.
