Description

One track, ten numbers, two lane lines: distance becomes a fixed landmark on the floor. The Standard 01 is the most versatile sprint track in the range. A clearly legible central numbering from 01 to 10, framed by two lane lines running the full length, covers the widest set of uses in a box: timed sprints, sled push over an announced distance, backward return, agility drills. The 16 mm Pro-quality turf gives the traction you need off the start without the harshness of a rigid floor.

Integrated marking, made to measure

The numbering, the intermediate graduations and the two longitudinal lane lines are part of the surface itself. Length and width are made to measure and the track is sold by the square metre, so the lane is cut to the room rather than the room being organised around a standard roll.

Materials and installation

Pro-quality artificial turf, 16 mm fibre height, intended for intensive indoor use. Installation is loose-lay or with perimeter fixing on a hard, flat floor: concrete, tiles or existing rubber tiles all work, provided the substrate is level. Maintenance is vacuuming, periodic brushing to lift the fibres, and washing with water and a neutral detergent.

This reference belongs to the numbered artificial turf tracks category. For the machine areas and drop zones on either side of the lane, see the rubber gym flooring tiles.

Who is it for?

CrossFit boxes and HYROX gyms: a permanent conditioning lane. A numbered track turns distance into a fixed visual landmark: the coach announces a distance, the athlete reads it off the floor. Sprints, sled push, sled pull, bear crawls and farmer walks follow one another without repositioning cones for every workout, and times stay comparable from session to session.

Strength and conditioning centres: standardised testing. Metred graduation supports speed protocols over a fixed distance: sprint repetitions, acceleration tests, speed-endurance work. The data remains usable over time because the distance no longer depends on where someone put the equipment.

Gyms with a functional area: a readable floor plan. The marked lane defines the conditioning zone without a partition and discourages equipment being parked on it. It is also an image marker: a marked-out track immediately signals a performance-focused facility.

Sports clubs and return to play: progressive protocols. For a supervised return to running, distance is the parameter to control before intensity. A legible graduation on the floor makes progression measurable without timing gear or extra equipment.

What to know before ordering

The price is per square metre, not per linear metre. A track 15 m long and 2 m wide is 30 m2. Work out the real surface area before comparing offers: a price per linear metre and a price per square metre are not directly comparable.

The marking is built into the product, not applied on top of the turf. The numbering and the lines are part of the surface: they do not wear off in use, but they cannot be changed after delivery. The marking plan and the distances have to be approved before production starts.

Turf does not take prolonged static loads. The fibres compress under the feet of racks, selectorised machines or any equipment left in place. Keep the lane clear of fixed equipment and plan rubber tiles for machine areas and drop zones.

Fibre composition, backing, weight per m2 and fire rating are not published. These figures affect delivery logistics and compliance in public-access buildings. Ask for the full technical data sheet before validating a project that goes before a safety commission.

Frequently asked questions

Is the track delivered in one piece?

Packaging depends on the dimensions ordered: beyond a certain length the track is delivered in several widths to be joined on site. Send us your dimensions and we will confirm the exact packaging for your configuration.

Can it be laid over existing rubber tiles?

Yes. Installation is on a hard, flat floor: concrete, tiles or rubber tiles. Flatness of the substrate is the critical point, since any irregularity shows through the turf surface and is felt underfoot when running.

Which width should I choose?

One-metre-wide tracks carry a supplement of 14 EUR excluding VAT per m2. A 2 m width allows two athletes side by side or the passage of a wide sled. State the width you want when requesting a quotation.

What does daily maintenance involve?

Regular vacuuming to remove dust and debris, periodic brushing to lift the fibres, washing with water and a neutral detergent. Avoid solvents and high-pressure cleaners on the marked areas.

Is turf suitable for sled push and sled pull?

That is its main indoor use. Sled runners slide in a controlled, repeatable way on the fibres, whereas a rubber tile generates higher resistance that varies more from one pass to the next.
