Description
The TRAINER Slalom is a suspended traverse module measuring 2160 x 1000 x 1040 mm and weighing 115 kg. Its winding path forces changes of grip and direction while hanging, which loads grip strength and coordination in a way a straight bar cannot. It is certified to EN 16630:2015-06 by TUV Rheinland. Professional price: 2,502 EUR excluding VAT.
Traverse work, not just hanging
A straight monkey bar trains a single repeated reach. A slalom path adds lateral displacement, so the user has to control rotation of the trunk and re-establish grip at a changing angle. That is what makes it useful beyond the beginner level: it recruits the arms, the waist, the abdominals, the back and the chest together, and it improves limb mobility and cardio-respiratory endurance when run as a circuit.
- Winding suspended traverse imposing changes of grip and direction
- Works arms, legs, waist, abdominals, back and chest
- Difficulty rated medium
- Maximum user load 150 kg, minimum user height above 140 cm
- Modular: combines freely with other street workout modules in the range
- Ground anchored for stability in open-air installation
Construction and corrosion protection
Shot-blasted, galvanised high-quality tubular steel finished with two coats of polyester paint rated for weather and UV exposure. The structure is galvanised steel, not stainless. Ground anchoring is required and is designed into the foundation drawings supplied with the equipment.
Standards and site planning
Certified to EN 16630:2015-06, the European standard covering permanently installed free-access outdoor sports equipment, and tested by TUV Rheinland. The recommended safety zone is 400 x 516 cm, approximately 20.6 square metres. With an overhead traverse the surfacing decision follows from the hanging height, so confirm the impact attenuation requirement before finalising the ground treatment.

Frequently asked questions
Is the slalom usable on its own?
It can be installed alone, but it is designed as part of a set. Combined with pull-up frames, dip stations and climbing modules it forms a coherent circuit, sharing the same finish, fixings and inspection regime across the area.
What surfacing should be planned underneath?
Because users hang from the structure, an impact-attenuating surface is normally specified: bonded rubber, rubber tiles or an equivalent. We confirm the required attenuation for the installed height when quoting the site.
Who is it suitable for?
Users above 140 cm in height and up to 150 kg. The medium difficulty rating means it suits teenagers and adults with some training background rather than complete beginners, so pair it with easier stations on a public site.
This module is quoted at 2,502 EUR excluding VAT, before delivery, foundations and installation. Send us the site plan and the modules under consideration and we will return a complete area budget within 24 to 72 hours. See the street workout rigs range.
