Description
The TRAINER climbing pole is a 220 cm vertical post dedicated to climbing and controlled descents, one of the most grip-intensive exercises available on a street workout area. Ground anchored and built in galvanised tubular steel, it is certified to EN 16630:2015-06 and tested by TUV Rheinland.
Training function and muscles worked
Pole climbing strengthens the arms, legs, waist, abdomen, back and chest, while improving limb mobility and cardio-respiratory endurance. Unlike a rope, the rigid pole demands constant squeezing pressure from hands, arms and legs, making it a superb developer of grip and full-body tension. Rated medium, it suits practitioners taller than 140 cm and up to 150 kg, with leg-wrap technique scaling the difficulty for beginners.
A compact, intense module
With a ground footprint of only 73 x 8 cm, the climbing pole is one of the most space-efficient modules of the TRAINER street workout system. It combines freely with pull-up bars, parallel bars and rope structures, adding a vertical climbing element that also serves firefighter-style descent training and obstacle course preparation.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between pole and rope climbing?
The rigid pole demands continuous grip pressure and body tension, whereas a rope allows foot-lock techniques. Both train the same pulling muscles; the pole is generally harder on grip and simpler to maintain outdoors, with no consumable element.
Who can train on the climbing pole?
Users taller than 140 cm and up to 150 kg. The medium rating covers assisted climbs with leg wrap for intermediates through to arms-only climbs for advanced athletes and obstacle course racers.
What clearance does it require?
Allow a clear safety zone of approximately 410 x 473 cm with impact-attenuating surfacing appropriate to the height; both appear on the layout plan supplied with your quotation.
