A stair climbing movement anyone can start with

The stepper reproduces the action of climbing stairs, a movement every user already knows. That is why its difficulty rating is easy: there is no technique to learn, no seat to adjust and no instruction panel to decipher before the first repetition. On a public fitness area, where nobody is on hand to coach, that matters more than the sophistication of the mechanism.

The exercise builds strength in the legs and glutes, works the hips and thighs, and recruits the abdominal muscles for balance. Users must be over 140 cm tall, with a maximum weight of 150 kg.

Aluminium steps and galvanised structure

The structure is high quality steel, shot blasted and galvanised, then protected by a double layer of polyester paint. The steps themselves are aluminium, chosen for grip: on an outdoor station the foot contact surface is the part that decides whether the equipment is usable after rain, and aluminium treads keep their bite where a painted plate would become slippery.

Standard colours are yellow (RAL 1018/7004), graphite (RAL 7016/9006), orange (RAL 2000/9006) and lime (RAL 6018/9006), with other shades quoted on request. This is galvanised and painted carbon steel, not stainless steel.

Is the post included in the price?

No. The 1,548 EUR excluding VAT covers the stepper unit. The support post or wall fixing is quoted separately, because the number of posts depends on how the stations are grouped across the area.

What surfacing should go under the station?

Local authorities generally specify a permeable surface within the safety zone, either bonded rubber, rubber tiles or a compacted mineral surface. We can price the surfacing with the equipment so the whole area is covered by a single quotation.

Is it suitable for older users?

Yes. The difficulty is rated easy, the effort is self regulated by the user, and there is no resistance setting to get wrong. It is one of the stations most often specified for health trails and for fitness areas aimed at a mixed age population.
